I saw some posts in the forum about DIY bowfront hoods (very useful, BTW), but I didn't see any for stands. Any advice or experience in making bowfront stands?
Well, I made the last bow hood posted on here I think. I would probably start the same way. Trace the bow of the tank on a piece of ply to make a jig/template. I would cut the top and bottom then build the frame to support the weight and then finish it with a nice ply skin.

I understand the basics, of course, so maybe I just need to simplify the question. If I have a plywood base to match the tank, the support thereof could be the traditional "rectangular" base because of weight distribution and the bowed part would be fine?
