good show do it right once and never have to change it again

Have to wait til pay day the other drill I have isn't a hammer drill. 

Hammer drills are great on concrete, but I'm not sure you want to use one on granite. It'll most likely crack it in no time. Slow/med speed and a masonry bit will get you thru it and use water for lube, not oil.

Does your bit look like this? If you're trying to use a regular drill bit (metal/wood), it'll get dull in no time.

It's a diamond tipped masonry bit.
