DIY Canister filter

building a canister filter as i was bored and thought it would be fun.

using a 5gallon watertight bucket what size hoses should i use ? the pump i have is rated at 5000 LPH and is adjustable. i have the media already just wondering what size hose would be best to use i was thinking of using 32mm

I would try 1" inner diameter I use 1/2"in mine and it only pumps 250gal/hour(~1000 liter/hr)
doubling the diameter should increase the flow 8 times if I remember my math right

What size tank are you planning to filter with 5000ltr per hour?
