Diy co2 with wine yeast

So tonight I tried a new experiment - I bought wine yeast and hubby has beer priming sugar - and we attempted to make our own co2. I had been doing my own diy co2 with bread yeast and sugar. So I am very excited to see how this goes.

hmm.. You may see lower action (less co2 over the course of 24 hours) but longer lasting cultures (because of wine yeast's moderate alcohol tolerance).

Still waiting - not a single bubble yet. My brew-master husband is SO fired. I promised to give it another 12 hours - no bubbles by then, then I am going back to the tried and true. Though in my dear hubby's defense - he does make some smashing beer.
