DIY Diatom Filter?
I am finding all kinds of good stuff!
Someone found a small pool pump in the basement. It's the type you would use on a 10' dia. pool. It has a pleated filter inside of it, which it sucks water thru before returning it. It looks alot like a heavy-duty version of alot of D.E. filters I've seen, and I was wondering if it would work. It's pretty loud, so I'd just run it occasionally to polish the water. Do you guys think it would work, or just wreck the pump?

See this thread, perhaps you could do something much like it with your setup. |
