DIY Overflow

Would this work to keep the siphon primed if the pump was turned off? I'm not sure what fittings it would use exactly, but I think it could be made cheap out of PVC.

I'm not sure there would be a siphon.
If the skimmer and it's downtube were significantly larger diameter, if the outside downtube opening was lower than the water level, maybe.
Try it.

a search for the Z-flow overflow on this forum, BillyZ made something similar a few months ago, and another member also did some testing and tells of modifications on it.
