Well I decided to do my own DIY standpipe for my overflow box and it works like a Charm.... Alot quiter than the straws I was using to stop the gurguling.... Just thought I share a few pictures

The two pieces of PVC I use I use a T to split

I cap the top off and drilled a hole on top and inserted an airline tube so much more quiter.....

My Overflow is an Eshopps so it was a pretty tight fit but it worked out great.

personally i would not have used an airline on top though
Another simpler option would be to make a hole on the pipe and on the side of the end cap. If you then dont glue the end cap, you can fine tune your drain line by turning the end cap in order to adjust the air going in the system
on the other side you can also do this with a air valve connected to the end of the air hose:cool:
