DIY sump/refuge...baffle question

Yes, I put the 1st baffle for bubble trap but now the next on is only an inch apart, I can't get my hand all the way down the side with the 1st baffle. I can do it fine in opposite side just not the side with 1st baffle.

You should be fine with just the one side just make sure its thick and gonna hold..I had a small gap on my baffles from the glass so I was able to squeeze the silicone through the gap to get a full seal.

Ok good, I have about 1/8" in between baffle and glass.

I ran into the same issue with my trap. I used a long q-tip and put silicone on it and was able to make a better seal that way. It takes time, but it will make it water tight.
