So I have made this extra filter for my 29g freshwater tank. I used an old CPR backpack protein skimmer. I placed filter padding in the first chamber, I placed activated carbon in a mesh bag in the second chamber and bioballs in the third chamber. I will be adding ceramic and sponge to the final chamber as well. The pump outputs 260gph. This is only used as a supplement to my existing filter. I am not seeing any reason as to why it will not be effective, but if anyone has any critique, it would be greatly appreciated so I can adjust accordingly IMG_2068.jpg
