Nitrate it just one detectable nutrent.. rock can and will absorb right about anything nutrent wise (not to mention the nutrents that are naturaly in the materials used to make it if its [acronym:e5e2a73e1a="Do it yourself"]DIY[/acronym:e5e2a73e1a] rock) that would include [acronym:e5e2a73e1a="Phosphate"]PO4[/acronym:e5e2a73e1a] ect. ect. ect... that was were I was going with that..
The rock itself will disolve in [acronym:e5e2a73e1a="power head or Measure of the concentration of hydrogen ions, depending on context"]PH[/acronym:e5e2a73e1a] less then 8.2 or so and will disolve untill the [acronym:e5e2a73e1a="Carbonate Hardness"]KH[/acronym:e5e2a73e1a] brings the waters [acronym:e5e2a73e1a="power head or Measure of the concentration of hydrogen ions, depending on context"]PH[/acronym:e5e2a73e1a] up to that level.. soooo.. if the fish can aclimate to a moderatly high [acronym:e5e2a73e1a="power head or Measure of the concentration of hydrogen ions, depending on context"]PH[/acronym:e5e2a73e1a] then yes they should be fine with the rock... Curring the rock isnt going to change the propertys of the minerals contained in the rock and what levels of acidity will disolve them.. [acronym:e5e2a73e1a="In my opinion"]IMO[/acronym:e5e2a73e1a]
