You might also email JB weld asking them.

The number JB Weld states "most plastic", but not all.

And sand paper it up for a good hold.

It seems this kind you used wasn't working correctly as it should have got a "hold" in a minute or so, not 30 minutes.

Repairing center brace

I had this happen to my 150 gallon tank. I used several types of glue to repair it but none of them worked then i used fiberglass. It worked great, easy too.
