GE Silicone I - DIY cave
So a friend of mine has that silicone ( a blue bottle GE silicone I - 100% rubber sealant), and he's willing to give me for my diy cave project (pvc)
Is it gonna be safe for my tank? can i still use it? any reply is appreciated! have a great day, thanks! |

I'm doing the same thing and I only have II at home. Guess I'll have to get Silicone 1.
..or what do you guys think is the best to use? (since I have to go out and buy new anyways). |

GE Silicon 1 is cheap, the newer labels should also mention that it's aquarium safe. In general it's going to be a lot cheaper to get silicon from a hardware store than ordering "Aquarium Silicon" from a pet store or web site. Mainly because they jack up the price for stamping Aquarium on the label.
