help diy Lighting

Can anyone help me I want make my own diy lighting for my smaller tanks

PS I live in south Africa

What specifically do you need help with? Check out LED University if you are interested in LED. They have some good info there and it will teach you all you need to know to make an LED fixture. They sell all the components as well.

For small set ups, you can go with a clip on light with compact flourescent bulbs. Both items are generally readily available and relatively inexpensive.

Hey there, I'm in South America and have the same problem getting specific brands over here. It would be better to get more information on tank size and what plants you will want to grow if any.

In my opinion for small tanks and if no high intensity light plants are in mind CFL (compact flurescent lights) bulbs are the best. You can get them at most hardware stores.

The photo is from my lattest DIY hood for a 10 gal planted tank.
