I have a 90 gallon African cichlid tank and just got a 125 tank for free, but it's tank only. So, I'm going to build a stand for it but it's going to take some time. I just got an offer for my 90 gallon setup, a good offer, but they want it soon! I need some time to build the stand so I was thinking of some cheap, fast way to get my 125 up so I can fill it, move my canister over and then my fish. Then I can break down the 90, and take my time building the nice stand.

Thoughts or ideas?

How important is plywood on top of a 2x4 frame? It's a 125 gallon glass aquarium with trim. Can I just sit it on the 2x4 frame without plywood or do I need to put plywood on top?

A very quick way to build a stand is to stack a bunch of cinder blocks on top of eachother. To make it look a little nice you can cover it in a blanket or an all black tarp.
