HOB filter addition idea

This is my idea of helping my filter a little. The pipe would be PVC. I'd probably cut about 5 holes in it. Do you think it would be beneficial and help the filtration around the other side of the tank? I'm still not sure if I'm gonna do it yet. Sorry for the rough sketch lol.
