Okay so I saw this and thought it was brilliant. You may have seen it before. You take a PVC pipe and cut it to obviously the shape you desire. Then you simply use an aquarium safe adhesive to glue your substrate to the pipe.

Like a tube piece? Or a connector? Were do you get the adhesive? Could you glue sand to it? Haha sorry for all the ?'s

Just a typical tube piece. And I wouldn't know where to get the adhesive, although it would probably be silicon.
 
Ok thanks.. Must be a large tube though! I think i cud get some at h depot

Yea I'm sure you can do that. Home depot has a great selection.

I forget the name but it was made by marine land. It is too big for my 10g at the moment but it will look really nice in a 55 g if i get one
