I've been trying to find some info on this for a few days now, and can't find anything. If a 1x2 (or 1x3) were to be used as a support beam, about how much weight could it hold?
I am looking to build a K shaped bookshelf/stand that will be able to hold up to 75lbs on the very top. The top will be holding a 5g tank. The back supports will be 2x4s but looking at 1x2 or 1x3s for the arm/leg.
