Ok so I just got a new 30 gallon tank and I am building a stand for the first time. I watched a bunch of YouTube videos one night and then went at it the next day. I know a 30 gallon isn't that big but I'm in an apartment and really want to make sure my stand holds up. What do you think?ImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1434066869.632837.jpgImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1434066884.195597.jpgImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1434066901.964992.jpg

Nice! Are you going to put a finish on it or leave as is?

Way over built but I needed to make sure nothing goes wrong. That and I got a 2 year old who might try to climb it lol

Would love to see it all finished with the tank on it. And good luck keeping the 2 yr old off of it :).

you really can't over build a stand at least I don't think so
I went over board on mine but now it's furniture

The more over finished the construction is it's less likely going to tip under load , this stand is holding a 90g tank full of water the weight is 630 lbs
stand weighs in at 195 lbs . this thing don't move
