light hood w/fans and canopy
i recently bought a light hood with a fan. the manufacturer states that a canopy should not be used with this light hood. well, it was obvious that the reason was that the fan could not vent because the intake and outlet would be blocked by the canopy. because i am new to this hobby, i didn't think about just building the lights into the canopy.
i really wanted to use my canopy and this light hood (because i spent big bucks on the light system) so i used a hole saw to cut holes to allow openings for the intake and outlet and its works great. ok, like i said i am new to this hobby, so while this is not a big deal of a [acronym:eb02baf656="Do it yourself"]DIY[/acronym:eb02baf656], i thought i would share this solution for those like me (beginner).
