I have a 125 gallon (saltwater) and at this time have about 30 lbs of LR but am going to order more in the next few weeks. I dont really want to go reef (not right now at least), but would like to encourage any and all algea and other misc growth. My question is, I have 1 - 10K light and 1 actinic for lighting. This is a total of 80 watts. I was told that I could add another ballast and 2 36" C/P florescents. My question is how would I do this myself? Could I get a ballast from say Home Depot and order the bulbs on line? Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

That should help you out with all the light you need, for now.

You just build basicly a wooden box to house the lights, and make the box so that it fits over the top of your tank, then you screw all the kit stuff into the wooden box per the nistructions.

If you want algea and possible reef in the future, you may want to go with more lighting.

That may be it, I don't really do salt water to much so I don't know if thats plane overkill, altho its only around 6wpg so I wouldn't think it would be overkill.

Anyways, Just order those [ don't have to order from hellolights ] and attach them to the wooden box that fits over your tank :)
