For the past couple of month now I've had a problem with my florescent light not coming on with the morning timer (DIY hood and lights). However if I lift up the lid and allow some air to get in the light will eventually come on. I'm thinking that the moisture from the evaporating water is preventing the light from coming on. Has anyone else experienced this???

TIA

Yup, I had the same problem. I went to Lowes and bougt a couple of those clear sleeves and slid the bulbs inside. It's a nice tight fit between the sleeves and the water proof end caps and now the lights fire up as soon as the timer kicks on.
