Isnt that skimmer rated for 75gallons? do you only need to rate your skimmer for the main tank? Im trying to learn SW now and I keep reading that all water volume + a buffer is the best way to go when picking out a skimmer.. sorry if this question is in bad taste..

i bought the Remora for my last 45g tank. When i upgraded to the 75g...i really didn't feel like buying another 200-300 dollar skimmer. The Remora is rated at 75g and i realize it may be a little underpowered for my setup, but i'm not finacially able to purchase another bigger skimmer at this point so the Remora will have to do. From my experience though, the Remora does a heck of a job. I have to empty it regularly and it accumulates a significant amout of hard waste. I've yet to have an ammonia problem and i feel like it's working right now. When my bioload increases as i add more fish, i'll have to watch the ammonia levels more carefully to make sure it's keeping up.

i'm a bit picture crazy. But hey, everyone loves pics right? This is about 2 month after my initial setup, and 1 month after adding LR.

Some cool things on the LR that i still haven't been able to identify. If you can help me out...thanks. Also, coraline algae has started growing...which is awesome!

Redid the aquascape again. I like this so far. It makes it look bigger, plus i think the water flows better. I've got two maxi 600's that i just got and i may be putting them in there...still don't know where though.

clam thingy. anyone know what this is?

coralife lunar night-time.

power cord surfing!

how it sits now

i think it's a starfish. He's only showing 4 legs if he is. He hasn't moved from that crack. He'll come out and then go back in. Anyone know for sure what it is? Sorry the pic isn't all that great.
