I had just a bent piece of conduit at one angle and I didn't like the look very much, so I went with buying elbows instead of bending the conduit.

My supply list consist of..

2 x 10ft 3/4in EMT conduit,

4 x 3/4in 90 degree elbows

Grinder, and grinding wheel

Black spray paint.

That's so nice. I've thought of raising my lights up too. Mine is fresh water though. Do you worry about the glare if you sit at the tank, as opposed to an enclosed lid? I love the egg crate top. I have some in the basement. Looks like a new project!

There really isn't much of a glare! And I like the egg crate look, I only had to use it because my goby is a jumper. It's really easy to cut with some pliers.
