I built this stand a while back for my 55 gallon tank but I built it to accomodate a 90 gallon tank when I decided to upgrade. I might have overkilled it just a little because the frame is all 2x4 and a couple of 2x6. It is wrapped with cabinet grade red oak plywood and eventually I will finish the canopy which will match the stand.

Very mice job! I'm just about to ask my lfs to make me a stand for my 24" x 14" , they make their own tanks and stands and are quite a good price due to cutting out the middle man. Post a pic shen it is all finished and running:)

that looks very good! Ive always thought its better to overkill then underkill.. you dont want 55 gallons or 90 gal sitting on the floor in your house. I made a stand and canopy for my 125 and it is a few hundred dollars cheaper to build it your self wrather than buy one.
