so here are a few projects i have completed.

first is the inline co2 diffuser that i built using pvc pipe and brass fittings. it runs on the intake line of my eheim 2217 filter. i heard that it was the best way to dissolve co2 into a tank because the bubbles sit in the chamber of the diffuser and get broken down. as the tiny bubbles pass threw the media they are broken down even further which completely dissolves the co2 into the water.

my second homemade DIY project was LED lighting for my 98 gallon freshwater

i got the diodes for free from old traffic signals and bought the current limiting resistors from my local electronics store. i bought a sheet of presentation board (that thick construction paper) from target for 40 cents and decided to mount my LEDs on there. after soldering up all 252 orange and white leds i got my old nintendo gamecube power supply which put out 12v and a max amperage of 3.25A

this was perfect :D
i hooked it up and it worked beautifully
this is just one 22'' strip with 21 orange and 21 white LEDs

all 6 strips mounted on the lid of my tank
sorry for not getting the entire lid

im also working on another LED board which will contain roughly 300 LED diodes for my soon to come 10g planted
its going to put out around 50 watts
 but that's an entirely different story lol

if you have questions feel free to ask id be glad to explain :D
