Hi everyone. I am making my own canister filter out of an old pool filter. It will filter from top to bottom. I will be using an in-line pump on the return side of the filter. What I would like to know is, do I calculate how much water will syphon down through the filter and then match the pumps output to that? Or do I get a pump that will force/pull the water through the filter?
