Need your opinion

My setup right now is 2.5g acrelic tank
what i am thinking of is to buy another 12x6x8 PERFECTO ALL GLASS 2.5g
and to glue that to the existing tank so like that my existing tank will be 12x12x8 and to use the new section as sum with overflow.
i like to know if this is possible and safe. plus what to use to glue them together.

tank you

I'm not sure I completely get what you're trying to do. I think it's to combine two tanks into one larger one. It's not really worth the hassle as tanks in this size don't cost much and going glass would be fine in this size.

I think the OP is trying to add another 2.5 as a sump to double his volume.

Is there a reason you want to actually glue the tanks together?

I don't have any space under my tank, thats why, but as everyone else said for a tank this size its not worthed.

I'd have to agree, you'd be better of grabbing a 5g which will save $$$ and avoid hassles.

If you glued the tanks side-by-side, so that one was a sump, you would need to figure out how to get the water from one tank to the other beucase you can't use gravity on the return like normal sumps.

Anyways like everyone has said you should just buy a bigger tank. Even getting a ten gallon is not much more than a 5 gallon.
