Well we're almost done with it. Just a few pieces of trim and she'll be ready for more rock and fish. There is no feeling in the world like making something yourselves as opposed to just buying it. Flaws and all it's just perfect anyway.
 
electrtikat, i know exactly what you mean, i made numberous mistakes on my stand, but just the feeling of achievement over powers most (if not all) mistake that might have been made.

anyway, your stand/canopy looks incrediable, how big is the tank ?
 
It's appx 90 gallon. It was sold to us as a 100 but it is obviously a custom size cause no one has ever heard of a 68" long tank. The measurements come out to about 86 gallons though. Yes it is beautiful and the handles are made out of a wooden branch from a madrone tree we got on our last trip to Oregon. That reddish brown color is the actual color of the bark, no stain.
