Yea no probs, it's pretty simple really, you just need to make a frame, most people use 2x2 but I used 2x1 as its not a super sized tank. Once frame work done ensure its sturdy, I made sure that each piece is supported by another if that makes sense. I have pics I'll try and add later.
Next I skinned the frame with 9mm mdf, I know a lot of people are probably going to advise against that but as long as its all sealed, prime and painted correctly there shouldnt be any issues.
Once a face of mdf was in place "using 1 1/2 inch wood screws-piloted holes and counter sunk" I cut the skirting and detail edging doing mitre cuts to make it look a little smoother.
Then once all in place all sealed to prevent absorption of paint and water, then under coated with primer and painted black satin.
This was done on every piece of wood used.
I also made a hood with a built in light box see the pics attached. All leds where made by self also, saving me a fortune. Again people will have views on what's right and wrong but I know what I've created and know it will work fine.
That's all there is too it really....my biggest piece of advice is when painting priming etc read the instructions on the can/ tin and follow exactly for best results....
Hope you like to hood and lights. Unfortunately can't have it all built together at the min as parts are still drying
Sorry for the long post. Got carried away lol
