Outdoor paint inside canopy good enough?

I painted the inside of my metal halide canopy with a flat white acrylic latex outdoor paint. I have about 3-4 coats on it and I am wondering if this will be enough so that water will not warp the wood. I put a polyacrylic finish on the outside also. Let me know what you think.

Thanks,
Josh

That's what we did with ours. We used bright white on the interior and stain on the outside. Then we used a clearcoat varnish/shellac over all of it. We have had it for nearly a year with not water damage so far.

It's probably overkill but I used some spray paint from an auto parts store that's made for painting exhausts. Withstands up to 500 degrees.

i'm using epoxy white paint
on the inside of mine

epoxy paint is the same exact stuff used to paint
your stove ,dishwasher,washer dryer,etc
it turns into a super hard smooth coating when it dries

I am putting a canopy together too and this idea intrigues me. Can you get this epoxy paint just anywhere? Is there a particular brand I should look for?
