Question about diy ato

Hello I have a question about a toms aqua lift that I'm trying to use as my ato I have it on a timer to run x amount of time my problem is when the timer shuts off it keep siphon water into my sump how can I break the siphon I put a check valve on it but that does no good because I have to have the check valve the way the water is flowing I hope this makes sense and someone can help me out. Thank you

Ato, below tank. If not possible, outlet from ato up high. It will back siphon to ato.

Outlet into main system must be clear of water level to prevent syphon from system to ato.

Does that make sense? If not,
Look at the u bend under the sink. Employ that. Plumbers 101

Pump at bottom, outlet up high, gravity wins.
