Thanks guys! I would love to build a stand but I don't have the tools or space to do so. Would anyone be willing to suggest any tips I could follow to build a stand under these circumstances? Might not be much I can do though.

Since you bought the stad retail, I'd take it back myself. Look for alternatives too. My DT is on a TV cabinet that was built like a tank. We have a good size console that our flat screen sits on and I think it would work great as a tank stand with a bit of beefing up.

if its a flat pack and you dont want to take it apart and take it back i would at least cut a piece of 3/4 plywood and glue it to the top screw it too if you have a drill to fit your aquarium
