Thoughts on my diy skimmer? Cheap man!!!!
Supplies
1x 3" piping (the height of the tank or more) 1 x nice air pump w/ stone Cut away 80% of the bottom 3-4" of on one of the pipe, leaving legs. Putting that end down place in back corner of tank. Mount air stone in pipe above the opening. Foam is skimmed just devise a way to collect the foam and cover pipe in live rock.Maybe add screen cover to keep out the critters. Think it will work alright? |
