With my water changes I was always having the addition of water mess up my gravel and decorations so I made a water diffuser out of things I had around the house and thought someone may like the idea so I thought I would post directions.

First you will need 2 three foot dowel rods and a shallow bucket. I used a bucket that I had from a hospital visit.

Second I drilled holes in the bottom of the bucket and 2 holes in each end/side to put the dowel rods through.

Then I set it on top of my tanks and I can add 5 gal buckets of water without disturbing my decorations or gravel.

Great idea I will have to remember this one. I use a Aqueon water changer so if I remember to keep the tube on an angle that minimizes the disruption.

I made this about 10 years ago. Its a large 32oz bottle the large center hole will screw onto a garden hose when filling straight from the faucet. It fills into the bottle and exit back out the top smaller holes. I made this just for my plant tanks.
