Water Quality Measurement Probes
Hi all,
I've been curious about this for a while and finally asked the chemist at work about it.. You CAN get probes that will measure various water qualities and they are arguably affordable. Some even have RS-232 outputs for data logging. http://www.dkktoa.net/productslpi10.html http://www.copcoinc.com/products/alc...e-lectrode.htm There's more if you search google for "calcium sensor probe". Enjoy!

Usually the really expensive part is the controller. The probe is usually some sort of bi-metal job with a current supplied or generated. If you can convert raw probe data to an RS-232 signal, that would be very cool.
