Funny thing.. when we build a fancy radius for a coffee bar, all I can think of is...yup..tanks haha.
This is actually pretty simple if you have basic carpentry skills, tools and a lot of patience and free time! I'm going to post pics, feel free to ask questions. I can explain further but I'd rather not unless you fine people are interested in building one!

This build did require a bit of math.. luckily for you? You can trace a pattern from the tank!

If you build it they will come!

If I had a workshop I'd fire one out and see what happened.. bow fronts seem to be a selective market these days.. not to say I wouldn't do a 92g. corner build one day if craigslist was so kind;)

Nice build and carpentry skills. Its sad how little of that is present in the world today. Being a metal fabricator we have a phrase involving how its our job to fix the stuff(*euphemism) that engineers design....

Hey! Engineers are people too!! Not in my thread! Its always fun making a drawing come to fruition.. hones our skills it does!
I used to fail math because I just put answers with a scribble, teachers wanted the work.. it's not on paper though.. 2 ways I suppose..

If u built cars to NASCAR's ridiculous standards and then have an engineer present a zany infeasible idea due to a lack of understanding of metal working then u would know my pain....

I've moved 800lb. Steel beams twice;) it's a borderline religious experience..

When an engineer asks me if I can move a frame rail in 1/128 of an inch I die a little inside.. I can barely see 1/64 and you want half that, even our micrometers want to know what the difference is.......

^YOU TWO!^
Engineers and archictects(it is all flat and square when you draw it!).
Try it on a roof!
That's where my metal goes!
I ask them if they want it to look like picture or to be correct.
Then I say "sign here"(change order).
