Hello everybody,

I think I have a final design for my DIY filter system. I've already got all the components and I have started assembly. But before I get to far into the build, I would to like get some more feedback from you guys. Please let me know what you think, good or bad.

Here it is:

I think your pump is on the wrong side of the filter media. It's generally better to restrict the outflow of a pump rather than the intake.

Thanks Big Jim. I was struggling with placement of the pump. My first design had it in front of the filters.

I'll move back to the front. It will definitely make priming easier.

Thanks again
Charles

I'm in the building stage now. Here's an updated drawing. I'm getting different information on where I should place the pump. Before or after the filters. Any comments greatly appreciated.

Build is complete and has been running for two weeks now. So far no problems.

Moved all my pictures to my Album under my profile here.
