azponds.com review

I ordered a Laguna 2100 pressure pump with uv filter from azponds.com (http://www.azponds.com/) about a week ago. Before ordering I called to make sure it would match up with my pump and they were very helpful and polite. I ordered on a Monday or Tuesday and received the order by that Friday (from PA to KY) in two seperate boxes in perfect condition. Shipping was totally cheap and even free on some of the products I ordered and all the items were packed very well. Items were shipped via UPS. azponds.com sells a variety of pond products from liners, pumps and filters to fish food and medications. They also have a selection of plant accessories. Website is easy to navigate and the ordering page gives you all the info...you know what shipping is before you complete the order. I rate them a 5. I would definitely order from them again.

Thumbs down AZ Ponds - Buy @ your own risk

After purchasing a Sequence pump kit from AZponds, I discovered a problem with air under the lid of the priming pump. After troubleshooting, I discovered that the problem is a bad lid or pot.

AZ Company's Policy: The company will not pay for shipping charges to return defective merchandise. Their canned response was that the manufacturer will not pay for shipping.

So I called Sequence. According to them, they, in fact, will reimburse for shipping if the product is defective. I was also told that Sequence stopped dealing with AZponds. The question was raised how AZponds is getting Sequence merchandise.

I have opted to work directly with Sequence and the issue is resolved. If I had gone through AZponds, it would have cost me shipping, time and inconvenience to remove the entire priming pot, and operational downtime of the pump. I avoided all this through dealing with the manufacturer, Sequence directly. AZponds' solution, if I wanted to avoid the operational downtime, was to buy a new priming pot and have it shipped to me before removing the old one.

AZponds' prices are good, but you may want to avoid them on the basis of severely lacking warranty policy.
