Big Als Just Opened in Plymouth Meeting PA (N. of Philly)
The sign says they are the biggest aquarium in Eastern US. ThatFishPlace is bigger; but my initial impression is that this store will give them a run for their money!

They have both. I spoke to Bob the owner. He is a very nice guy who used to own the famous Martin's Aquarium in Jenkintown, PA. The fish expert is John; easy to spot with his pony tail.
The fish prices are unbelievable. I purchased a 5" Bristle Nose (been looking for one for over a year) for $3.49. Most amazing is they have what all of us African Cichlid keepers want......RED fish. I picked up a 3" RED Peacock for $15. It looks like an Aulonocara Stuartgranti (Rubescens) but Red not orange. I also picked up three 2" Red Hot Zebras. Again they were a nice shade of red; some very deep red. These amazing fish were only $4.99 ea (two for $7.99). I wish this store had opened last year. I was spending $30 to $40 for each 3" African Cichlids. I initially thought the prices on the tanks were wrong because they were so low. But I walked out with 5 AC fish for less than $33. |

One more question, is there a SW section? Congratulations on the purchases!

They have a large salt water section. In the middle of the fish room is a 5,000G round shark tank (~ 20 ft across). No sharks yet as they are waiting for the water to stabilize.

The store is in North Towne Plaza. Just get off the Norristown exit of the PA Turnpike. Go west on Germantown Pike for about three miles. It's on the left just before the Route 202 intersection. There is a Dunkin Donut directly across the street.

OMG! I am only 2 minutes from that shopping center and never knew they were there. I have been contemplating driving to reading(1 1/2 hour drive) to that fish place. Thanks for the info.
