CaptiveReefs.com does it again Thx Darin

Well wanting some more of a blueish color to my 55gal [acronym:6d56eb4a81="Saltwater"]SW[/acronym:6d56eb4a81] tank i decided to take advantage of Darin's sale that he has on the Hamilton Bulbs and bought 2x250w 14k [acronym:6d56eb4a81="Metal halide light"]MH[/acronym:6d56eb4a81] bulbs.. They ran like 62.99ea plus 10.00 s/h.. They arrived 4 days after I ordered them in great shape.. Packaging was awesome and bulbs looked intact.. I immediately shut off my lights and let them cool so I could replace the bulbs.. They had just turned on an hour before the UPS guy showed up.. I placed the bulbs in and let them run.. They started off pretty blue and started to lighten up the longer they ran.. I have had them on my tank now for 2 days and I absolutely LOVE the color that they give my tank and the corals.. My wife is actually not mad at me for spending the money as well She likes the looks as well.. I have ordered Several times from Dain at captivereefs.com and he has never let me down.. He is great to deal with and knowledgeable with what he sells... I just had to give praise again to Darin for the wonderful award winning customer service and Hamilton for the awesome bulbs... Keep it up Darin and I will be there in the future to get my complete Calcium Reactor setup from you.. I have attached a pic of my tank with the new lights and with the old ones... weeeeeee...

Thanks Again,
James

You can expect it to whiten up some, burn in for [acronym:bfb41e57e4="Metal halide light"]MH[/acronym:bfb41e57e4] is about 100 hours.

yeah I understand that.. It has lightened up quite a bit since they first got turned on.. but compared to a 10k bulb I really love the color as it gives the the more of a blueish hue as if I added a few more actinic bulbs..

No problem happy to do it. In about a week the bulbs will have whitened up considerably.
