Hi there :] I live in Issaquah Washington which is just east of Seattle. The best store around here is Blue Sierra, IMO. They specialize in salt, but have some fresh as well. It'd be a little bit of a drive but well worth it I'd say. I don't know of any places in Tacoma specifically, sorry.
Thanks Sati, I'll add Blue Sierra as entry number one on my list. I'll be driving quite a bit trying to learn about my new surroundings so why not a drive out to Issaquah?
I live just east of tacoma, and there is a excellent store named aquarium paradise they also have a web site with map and drive directions to the store aquariumparadise.com. Very helpful and informed on salt and fresh. Grand opening is nov 11 I think not sure but they are open for business now. They are in the middle of relocating from lakewood. Family owned business and many generations of experience. You should check them out you will not be disappointed.
Aquarium Paradise is outstanding! I've talked to at least three different people there, including the store manager, and they're super helpful and *really* know their stuff! I just bought a 46 gal bowfront from them and can't wait to get back there for some fish, what a great, great store.
