Now thats what I call service.

I placed an order for replacment bulbs from hellolights.com at 6:00PM today. Just after 6:30PM today I got an e-mail from them with my UPS tracking number...

I was shocked to have a tracking e-mail so quickly.

You gotta love technology.

In this day and age, with all the high-tech tools available it still amazes me that more retailers aren't this efficient in communicating with their customers.

It sure makes me feel good when I know that they received my order, that they have processed it and then walk me along the whole fulfillment / delivery process.

I'll keep these guys in mind when it's time for my lights.

Do you know why you cant find certain items at LFS? do you ever go into one and look for a certain part, bulb, or specialty item? It's because they cant compete with online prices on items. people simply dont buy items at LFS that they can get cheaper online. so if you ever compalin about not being able to get a certain thing at a store, you can pat yourself on the back and say thank you.

Ya i know exactly why I cant find anything local. Its cause no one local knows how to acutally equip a tank. I went in asking them one day if they had any overflows (aka prefilters) and they just looked at me like I was talking chinese.

The only lights local are standard NO florecents.

Hrm well that stinks to have such a poor LFS in your neighborhood.

Mine know their stuff but wont get certain items in becasue they cant sell them. Hearing "i can get that cheaper online" is a staple.

Ender, I definitley see your point. However, for the average hobbyist, it's tough to pay 20-30% more for items at the LFS. I try to walk the line between supporting the LFS's and buying stuff online. I think that many of us split our purchases this way, it's the best compromise we can come up with.
