Saltwaterfish.com Review

Unfortunately my last two orders to saltwaterfish.com have been less than satisfactory. In the most recent order one fish arrived DOA then one died within the first two days and the next one died after a less than three days. I only have two out of five fish remaining from that order. All my other fish are fine and all my water parameters are good. In my first shipment they sent me two microscopic clownfish, a tang covered in ich (this tang wasn't for me it was for my teacher who asked me to raise it to a decent length before he introduces it to his tangs) and the wrong fish. I do have to say that besides the fact that they were slow responding to claims they did give me the refunds I was owed (except for the wrong fish)

after 2 recent orders with saltwaterfish I have no complaints , I ordered a bunch of corals and I also got a baby flame angel he is the most colorful and healthy little fish I ever received from a online order
he is happy and loves all his tank mates

after 2 weeks I had my only death one of my torch corals died it was out of the 15 day guarantee period but they still gave me a credit for it , Time-wise it took me 5 min on the phone before my credit showed up in my account , I never email a claim as 90% of the time it will just get lost under thousands of other inquiry's

the trick to ordering online is to know what to order and from where
some places do great with fish as others don't
same thing with coral some handle coral orders correctly as others just toss it in the box
Know your vendors ask around first that way your sure to have a good experience !!!
I've been buying livestock online for years and I know how many of these vendors pack a shipment and who has quality stock
yes once in a while I will stray from my list just to get certain things others just don't carry and will take that risk
but yes there are several vendors I just wouldn't waist my time with anymore and I used to deal with them very often not no more and they know who they are.

I was thinking of ordering a French Angel at the end of the month from them, better take that into consideration.

It depends on your winter conditions of where you live , if You want to order or not
I had a order from a different vendor come frozen so I would consider holding off ordering live stock in the winter months
it's not fun opening a block of Ice
but yes saltwater fish covers dead arrival but why risk it

I usually stop mail orders around the end of Sept
and don't start ordering again until late April
I'm in Colorado and it stays cold with snow for what seems like it's around forever
