I have a 36 gallon tank can I put bala sharks in there

no,bala sharks get huge and are a schoooling species.

you could do a pair of convicts(nothing else),a colony of shell dwellers(species only is best),or dwarf cichlids like rams,apistos,etc in a community tank.

Ok thanks 4 the info think I'll just do a tank full of tiger barbs everything else grow to big
