Some creative home furniture rearrangement
But we’ve only just begun

Ammonia, ammonium, Nitrites and Nitrate
Let ‘em rise and let ‘em fall
It was all greek to me
Now I major in water chemistry

New and pretty light kit
3 to 4 watts I presume
Ah, I’ve got it just right
It lights up the dining room

Iron rich substrate
Arrange the new rock for the 100th time
CO2 injection, GH, PH, KH test kits
What? Calcium carbonate and lime!

Back from town, again
Brand new slate and plant til there’s no room
Purchased macro’s and micro’s
Hey, I’m preventing an algae bloom

Now all is finally perfect, hah! never
We add the fish we can
Had to pass up some real beauties
But walked out hatching the “250 gallon Plan”

The moral of this story is
And I think you know new friend,
No matter what else goes on
This will never end

Because even if…..

It twas the night before Christmas
And no one else stirred, we’d know
There’d be one more poor and happy hobbyist
Sitting by the lunar light’s glow

And all you others, don’t feel sorry for us
Cuz you see
There’s an LFS gift card
Just waiting under the Christmas tree………

Well said! Truly, I come here for the social outlet of others who understand my crazy obsession! This way I don't have to drive my husband nuts with all of it, he just gets to sit back and enjoy the product of all my hard work....and the advice of my friends here.

...lol....thanks all of you for the great responses...I knew you could understand. Now when I say I am window shopping it is in front of a line of aquariums at the LFS! I had fish since the time I found a few minnows in a creek and put them in a mason jar. I brought them home and one of my brothers spilled the jar. To get me to stop crying (for the poor baby fishies) my dad took me to the store...per my mom-"just to get a fish bowl" Well we came home with a complete 10 gallon set up. Wow was my mom mad! haha. She got me the 20 gallon 2 years later and 2 angel fish as big as the palm of your hand. I swear this is an addiction, but what a good one! I love you guys for your understanding and sharing.
