Another Bad Day
Yesterday through sheer carelessness and rushing my day I lost 2 good tank inhabitants(previous post). Now today at work(I am a commercial electrician) I was catching 25lb steel fixtures which we have done 100's of times and bobbled one. It slammed my gloved hand into a pallet and opened the outside of my finger from tip to bottom knuckle, plus it ripped off the nail. Doc actually put a stich at the base of the nail to hold it in place as well as the finger but says it 50/50 if the nail will grow back. Well there goes my bagpipes for a month. Maybe the neighbors are happy about it. Boy life sometimes throws you those curves you don't see coming.

I am so sorry for your misery. It sounds quite painful. *&^%$ the neighbors, bagpipes are wonderful.
I hope your recovery is swift and better than the docs can even explain. Blessings to you. Hara |

It is gonna be tough to do all the tank maintenance with only one hand. I might have to recruit some friends to help. It is weird going thru your day with one fully usable appendage.

Sorry to hear about your injury, hope all goes well with healing up. make sure you get some good physical therapy to keep that finger from stiffening up permanently.
Amazing Grace on the bagpipes is one of my all time favorite things to hear (even though it's usually at funerals), it makes even me feel very spiritual. |

Yeah, it still bring up some emotions even after all these years of playing it. I recently did it with a few other pipers at a memorial sevice for a pub owner at his pub & by the time we finished there wasn't a dry eye in the place.
