I'm just gonna submit it for repair and see what happens. If they reject it, I'll fix it with a hammer

I thought they extended the warranties to cover the three red lights regardless of the age of the unit. I had mine go once, I took the HDD out and faceplate and sent it back. I got it back in less than two weeks. I used the option that they send you a box in the mail with prepaid labels.

They send it to the Xbox / Zune graveyard in TX. Some small town where theres a giant landfill full of broken electronics. I've got 2 zunes there already... but the third is working like a charm.
Don't hate the ps3 ;p once sony finally price cuts it, it will take over the market. Once you use one you'll know why....

there is a place you can send it to be fixed and they will send it back as long a s you don't try to open it up and fix it yourself. We have to send ours in it seems like once a year and it cost like 40 bucks. I will see if I can get the web site or address for all from my hubby. With three boys we have used it a lot and we don't have a warrenty on ours we have a ps2 and a xbox and a xbox 360.
