one day i hope to own both fw an sw tanks. i've grown up doing more activities having to do with the ocean than i can count so i'd like to convey my respect and love for the water through a well-balanced/healthy tank. at the moment, fw is affordable than sw plus my grandfather has a pond so i love fw aquariums as well. from my point of view i think it's perfectly acceptable to have both fw and sw tanks. go for it bro

Might not have been the intent as I indicated but its a topic that can become a whos better fairly quick expecialy given the wording you have choisen for the poll pics and the title.

I have both types and I know many that have had both types in the past or continue to keep both types.

That makes no sense. So, you say your dad has a sw tank, or wants a sw tank? But you want to claim it as your own but let him take care of it? And the 29g sump? Did I miss something? :|

No, but it looks like somebody missed the class on punctuation.

Why not plan for a future with BOTH kinds?????? Why choose? Someday you might be able to buy a SW set up and hopefully you keep the fw tank as well! (such is the story at our house SW+FW+two separate Betta tanks!)
