Anyone use bottled drinking water to do pwc?
I just tried it on my betta tanks today. I used 50/50 tap and bottled water.

i've never done it, but I think it would really just depend on which bottled water you use. Some are basically charcoal filtered tap, some straight tap, some are spring water. I think there's been a call for legislation to control labeling so you know what your getting, but I don't know if anything has been put in place yet.

My thoughts would be, take a sample of the brand you use or plan on using and test it for what's important and if it tests ok, use it for a little while but watch your tank carefully (somethings we dont test for could still be in there) and if it works, it works, but stick with the same brand.

O.K. heres the test results of the water

ph= 7.0
gh= 40ppm
kh= 10ppm
Po4= 0

Label said natural spring water.

Yeah they are, I just want to keep the water as good as I can so they will spawn.
I added a little more spring water then tap to the breeding tank.
:wink:

i think those like indian or somethign leaves would do more maybe? i saw them on aquabid
