CHAT NIGHT --> Jan 15th 8PM EST <-- Be there or be squ

As the title says. Come by and join in on our weekly chat night. Its every Wed night starting at 8PM East cost time. Attendance has been slacking for a few weeks and I had expected it to over the christmas and new years holidays but now we need to get back into a routine.

What if Wed at 8PM does not fit my schedule?

So what! Make it fit!!!

No No. We ant that mean.

Guess what. The chat room is ALWAYS open. Come by and see if anyone is around. Maybe you will find some members in an impromptu chat.

Well grant I dont know what your time zone is. On this site the East coast sets the time zone to be (-0500 GMT) If you in the UK have yours set to say (0000 GMT) And not I am just guessing then you would be 5 hours ahead of us. So for example as I post this message its 9:17 AM. But if your 5 hours ahead and you read this right away it might be 2:17PM.

So if you know your time in relation to GMT then you can figure out how far behind/ahead someone is from you.

Edit. OMG that is the first time I did that. I went to quote your post but instead clicked on the Edit button. So i ended up editing your post. It was rather funny seeing your name attached to my words. So I had to fix that real quick and then post this reply.

Well maybe you can get away with it? Not sure if they monitor your port usage on your systems or not but we have a java chat client that many people access via the website. What this means is that while you might be chatting your really on a website aswell. Call it symantics

Well I mentioned this to another one of your UK buddies but I will mention it again.

The chat room is always open. If people want to setup chat times on their own feel free. The chat room is open for everyone to use at any time they want.

The only reason its at 8PM Eastern US time is because thats the time frame that works for the majorty of members. We have been known to chat from 8-?? or so and that gives all of the US time zones a chance given that as some of the east coast people drop off the west coasters are comming on.

If others want to chat at other times then I say go for it.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not moaning and it's not a problem.

Perhaps we should do a once a month night at the same time on a weekend, that way us Brits could join you and not worry bout gettin' up for work the next day.

Oh well, just have to stay up late one night. Doubt it will be tonight though ... still suffering from going out on a 'school night' last night!

Just doing a little bumpage to remind everyone.

If you dont know how to enter the chat room you can click on the chat link on the main menu or click on the chat link in the top nav bar.

Make sure you click YES on the popup box as you need to download and install a small java applet that allows you to chat.

No harm will come to your pc for doing this i swear.
